November 21 2010 at Smokey Mountain a spectacular event has been made together with JCI Manila and the Gawad Kalinga, a friendly Baseball match between the ILLAM Kids and the Smokey Mountain kids player was launched. This event was started with our National Anthem Lupang Hinirang and followed by an Oath of Sportsmanship. Then the very special guest was called the Ambassador of the United States of America "Harry K. Thomas" he say some words of wisdom to the players. He is the Coach for the Smokey mountain kids players.Many reporter were present in that event like the ABS-CBN 2,Tv 5 and the GMA 7.
The Ambassador is very friendly and approachable to us. When the reporter interviewed him he recognized the JCI Manila to their good deeds for helping the Smokey mountain to improve their life. The Commissioner of sport of the Philippines is present too in this event and when he was interviewed he says and believe that if the Smokey Mountain kids can do progress and improvement in their community , we can make it all over the Philippines.
At the end of the event the matched is draw scored by 4 all. And before the Ambassador leave, a student of "BLOG:Buhay Ko sa Smokey Mountain" interviewed him Jovelin Andia.
